Learn how to catch worms by worm grunting, worm charming, worm fiddling, worm calling. Catch worms for fish bait or composting.
Grunting worms is when you shove a stake (called a resonator) into the ground and then vibrate or rattle the stake with stick. The rattling sound brings the worms to the surface where you can catch them for fishing bait or composting.
My grunting stick is called the Worm GItter. I bought it from Duke Johnston at http://www.dukessportpro.com/ you can see his video of him using the Worm Gitter at https://youtu.be/1J2giYzjo3c
Catching worms by grunting them is not as easy as it looks if you don’t know what you are doing but it is really fun. You need to be able to pick the right spot, during the right time of day during the right weather conditions and you have to grunt a certain way. But when you get it right, worms come flying out of the ground and it is really fun. Had ball learning how to catch worms by grunting. And catching your own worms is definitely more fun than buying them.
